Relocation plan unclear

Tenants have mixed reaction

Many Frankfort residents have been in and out of the Walter Todd and Leestown housing complexes this week dropping off food, clothes and furniture for the Hurricane Katrina victims.


Larry Cappetto's documentary, "Lest They Be Forgotten," will be shown at the Frankfort Convention Center Sunday as part of a Sept. 11 commemoration ceremony.

This Sunday, Americans will remember the dead and the heroes from 9/11. Harrod Brothers Funeral Homes has set aside the day to honor America's veterans and servicemen with a showing of the first documentary in the World War II series "Lest They Be Forgotten."

State rejects KU's power line proposal

Kentucky Utilities' request to construct new power lines through Woodford, Anderson and Franklin counties was declined Thursday by the Kentucky Public Service Commission.

County takes 4% increase in property taxes

In a special meeting Thursday, Franklin County Fiscal Court, by a 4-2 vote, approved a county property tax rate of 13.4 cents per $100 assessed value, which is expected to produce $3,164,463 in revenues.

Condo plan wins approval

The final development plan for a 30-unit condominium development on Hudson Hollow Road was unanimously approved at Thursday's Frankfort/Franklin County Planning Commission meeting.
