APRIL 2006

APRIL 24 - 27, 2006,
Mountain View, California.
Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary hosted a very special week of WWII, Korea, and
Vietnam Veteran interviews at their facility in California.  The event was very
successful.  PICTURES  I was a guest on the popular KSFO Radio, San Francisco
Morning Show with Lee Rogers and Melanie Morgan. (Listen to the interview)
The Cusimano Family were wonderful hosts and did a great job working with the
veterans and families.

APRIL 20, 2006,
Grand Junction, Colorado,
I had the pleasure of speaking today to the 5th grade class at Bookcliff
Christian School.  The students were very attentive and asked me a lot
of great questions.  I was impressed that this class had already done research
and turned in reports about World War II.  Our young people today are interested
in history and appreciate what our war veterans have done for our country.   PICTURES

APRIL 12, 2006,
Olathe, Colorado,
American Legion POST 24 hosted a dinner banquet.  Among the invited
guests were National Commander, Tom Bock, and World War II Omaha
Beach Veteran, Wally Waller, 89.  Wally is featured in Volume I of my
documentary series.  He is one of my many WWII heroes and friends.  PICTURES

year at Cherry Creek High School.  We spoke to 7 freshman classes in 2 days.
The students were very receptive to the presentation and left with a greater
appreciation and respect for the freedoms we enjoy and our veterans.  PICTURES

MARCH 24 - 27, 2006,
Las Cruces, New Mexico
Getz Funeral Home hosted a very special weekend. WWII, Korea, and
Vietnam Veterans were interviewed for the film documentary series.
The event was very well successful.  PICTURES
KVIA Television, El Paso, Texas did a LIVE remote from the funeral home
on Friday, March 24.  Radio interviews and local newspaper coverage of
contributed to the success of the event in Las Cruces.  The Getz family
were perfect hosts and did a great job working with their veterans and families.

MARCH 2-11, 2006,
Guam, Iwo Jima
I just returned home after 34 hours of flying and 17,000 miles of air travel.  I  made a
very historic journey to the island of Iwo Jima.  Words cannot express my feelings after
spending March 8th on this tiny, remote, pacific island.  In 1945 the U.S. Marines were
involved in an epic struggle with over 22,000 Japanese soldiers.  Iwo Jima was one of the
bloodiest battles recorded in American and Marine Corps History.  In just 36 days over
25,000 Americans were casualties and almost 21,000 Japanese lay dead.  I shot some
footage on Iwo that will be featured in Volume IV - to be released later this year.  PICTURES

JANUARY 9-15, 2006 --
I just returned from a very successful and productive week in Wichita, Kansas,
and Omaha, Nebraska.  I interviewed 20 more veterans or World War II,
Korea, and for the first time, Vietnam.  The stories were compelling and
gripping.  Many of these veterans have never told their stories before.  I am
honored to be able to include them in my upcoming film documentaries.

I would like to extend a very gracious thank you to Downing & Lahey Mortuary,
Wichita, Kansas, and John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, Omaha, Nebraska for
helping sponsor these events and allowing me the opportunity to use their
facilities to host the interviews.

NOVEMBER 2005
Nov. 29th Chaparral High School, Denver, Colorado --
Today, World War II Omaha Beach Veteran, (and my best friend)
Lewis Johnson and myself spent the day at Chaparral High School.
We conducted four presentations at the school for 600-700 students.
The presentations were well received by a very reverent and
respectful student body.

We had a great time showing a 30 minute segment from Volume I,
"Omaha Beach, D-Day, June 6, 1944," and talking to the students.
The highlight of the day was when Lewis would get up to speak to
the students.  Lewis did a great job.

A special thank you goes to Chaparral High School Teacher, Steve Block,
for setting things up and allowing us the great opportunity to come to
Denver and speak to the student body.  Thank you Steve!

Nov. 11th Veteran's Day, Gastonia, North Carolina --
What a wonderful sunny day here in North Carolina.  We showed
my first film on Omaha Beach today in Congresswoman Sue Myrick's
office downtown.  We then attended the Veteran's Day parade
and special medal ceremony this afternoon with Rep. Myrick.
"An act of remembrance is an act of honor."  Today we honored
veterans from around the country.  How can we ever thank a
veteran enough for what they have done for our country?  I am truly
honored to be serving my country with this film documentary project.
This weekend's events are sponsored by McLean Funeral Directors.
Pictures from Gastonia.

Nov. 9th, Okeechobee, Florida --
Today I spoke to almost 4000 students in four different schools.
We showed them a portion of the first Omaha Beach DVD.

School.  Today's venues were sponsored by Buxton Funeral Home.

"MY SON IS A MARINE is a must read book, a real page turner
that I could not put down until the last word was read.
Jo Anne Allen has written an inspired book of touching and
thought-provoking stories full of encouragement and examples
of Christ-like love. She invites you into her family and her heart.
She generously shares with you her personal trials and spiritual
struggles which in turn gives readers the courage to face their
own problems. Best of all - she shows us, by example, the only
way to do it. Jo Anne has illustrated for us the heart of a mother
and the testimony of one who personally knows the love, strength,
and hope that comes from true faith in Christ. Her book is joyful
and a fun-filled open invitation to turn to the Savior and "lean not
on your own understanding." I personally will be giving her book
and a batch of A.J.'s peanut butter cookies to those nearest and
dearest to me. "
